A Michigan man was killed Saturday morning after crashing his motorcycle into a roadside sign along Interstate 80 in East Lackawannock Township.

State police said they were called at 7 a.m. Nicholas D. Clark, 34, of Detroit, was eastbound when he lost control of his motorcycle after failing to negotiate a curve at mile marker 14.

Clark’s motorcycle left the right side of the road and hit a sign that lists restaurants at the next exit, police said.

Clark was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:28 a.m. by Mercer County Deputy Coroner Cris H. Loutzenhiser, Greenville. Clark died from head injuries, Loutzenhiser said.
