Gray skies and a cold drizzle of rain in Mercer County may have kept people from the polls, with an unofficial turnout of about 24 percent.

Acts of Mother Nature aside, things went smoothly for the elections office, said county elections chief Jeff Greenburg. He called the primary “quiet.”
