Price

FARRELL – Police are pursuing charges against a man they say sexually assaulted a child.

Edward J. Price, 33, of 1124 Emerson Ave., Farrell, is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, sexual assault, indecent assault of a person less than 13 and corruption of minors.

The victim, who is now 8, told investigators that Price, who was supposed to be babysitting her, exposed himself to her and had sex with her an undetermined number of times between April 2014 and November 2016, according to a criminal complaint.

Police said the victim told them that Price locked her in her room all day and she could come out only to eat and use the restroom. The victim also said that he hit her with a belt.

The victim told police that she was scared to talk because Price said he would beat her with a belt, and he threatened people close to her, according to the complaint.
