EAST LACKAWANNOCK TOWNSHIP — A gas station south of Mercer was robbed early Sunday morning.

Pennsylvania State Police and Mercer Police Department were dispatched to a robbery in progress at 2:41 a.m. Sunday at Leo Mart Shell gas station at 854 Perry Highway, East Lackawannock Township. When officers arrived they found the front door glass had been broken and the suspects fled with an unknown amount of cigarettes, according to a press release.

Security footage showed investigators that a red Dodge Ram single-cab pickup truck with black fenders contained two white men and a white woman. A man and woman entered the gas station while the second man waited in the truck, then they all returned to the truck and fled south on Perry Highway, the release states.

The incident is still under investigation, authorities said. As of Tuesday afternoon, no one had been charged in connection to the robbery, according to Unified Judicial System.
