A Sharon woman’s car ended up 50 yards from the No. 2 green of Buhl Farm Golf Course after an accident at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Carol Joann Smalley, 50, of 439 Fisher Hill, was driving on Thornton Avenue towards Forker Boulevard when her car went off the left side of the road and into a ditch, police said.
Ms. Smalley overcompensated in turning the car back towards the road where it rolled over and landed on its wheels, facing the opposite direction. The car, with Ms. Smalley thrown in the back seat, then rolled toward Hall Avenue and onto the golf course.
Police said there were no witnesses to the accident but some golfers stopped the slow-moving car on the fairway.
Ms. Smalley was transported to the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. No condition was available Wednesday, a hospital spokesperson said.
Hermitage police and fire, Sharon police and park staff responded to the crash.
