A man walked into an office at Quaker Steak and Lube in Sharon Friday morning and robbed a woman a gunpoint, police said.

At 10:40 a.m. the man entered the corporate office of the restaurant at 10:40 a.m., Capt. Travis Martwinski said.

The man, who was holding a handgun, asked a female employee for money and left with an unknown amount of cash from her purse, Martwinski said.

The woman told police she didn’t see which way the man went.

Police evacuated the offices and searched Tully’s and Quaker Steak and Lube but didn’t find the robber.

Police described the man as white, with a medium build about 5 foot 9 inches tall. He was wearing a light-colored shirt with a bandana covering his nose and mouth.

Bob Mentrek, vice president of corporate operations for the restaurant, referred all comments to police.
