• Daishauna Jeanique Jenkins, 28, of 878 Baldwin Ave., was staggering at about 12:25 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Baldwin and upon investigation was found to have a "straight shooter" pipe used to smoke crack cocaine in her purse, police said. She was charged with public drunkenness and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

• Kenneth Phillip Evans, 44, of 2030 Madison St., Sharon, faces drug charges after a crash at about 3:20 a.m. Saturday along Shenango Valley Freeway, between South Irvine Avenue and East Budd Street, police said.

A motorist helped Evans out of his vehicle and he left the scene but was found nearby, police said. Evans had a bag containing suspected cocaine in his pocket, police said.

He had a cut on his chin and was treated at a local hospital. Evans was charged with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and abandonment of vehicles, police said.

• Nicholas Matthew Brown, 25, of 661 S. Stateline Road, Sharon, was seen stealing $63 from the lockers of other employees at about 9:45 p.m. Saturday at Marco's Pizza, 1140 E. State St., police said. Brown was charged with theft.

• A city man faces charges after police say they found him drunk and unconscious while he was supposed to be taking care of children at about 12:15 a.m. Monday.

Jeffrey Stuart Atkins, 43, of 134 W. State St., Apartment A, was passed out while caring for three children ages 2, 6 and 10. The oldest called 911 for help, thinking that Atkins wasn't breathing, police said. 

Police shook Atkins for two minutes before he awoke and he kicked one of them. He was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of children, police said.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

• A Franklin man faces charges after an incident at about 1:15 p.m. Sunday at a store in the 700 block of Sharon-New Castle Road. 

Cody Kostra, 25, had asked a customer for money and threatened an employee, saying he had a gun, when he was confronted. Kostra, who was found in a parking lot across from the store, had a toy gun at the time of the arrest, police said. He was charged with making terroristic threats, false identification to police and disorderly conduct.


Grove City

• Tyler Herndon, 26, of 20 Highpoint Drive, Grove City; at 2:59 a.m. Jan. 20 on Woodland Avenue. 



• Joshua Allen Savage, 29, of 693 King St.; at about 7 p.m. Friday on South Oakland Avenue on a Southwest Mercer County Regional warrant for failure to appear.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

• Edward Matthew Luba, 46, of 803 Ravine Place, Sharon; at 12:36 p.m. Friday at his home in connection with a Jan. 21 burglary at Sunset Lanes, 1218 Idaho St., Farrell. Police said they also sought a warrant for Crystal Elaine Tuttle, Hermitage, as the second person involved in the incident.  

• Marquail Maliek Freeman, 20, of 319 Wallis Ave., Farrell; at 3:59 a.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of South Hermitage Road, Hermitage; on a warrant for aggravated assault in connection with a Dec. 29 incident in the 1600 block of Roemer Boulevard, Farrell. He was held for arraignment.
