Sharon residents have no need to worry about gang activity, said Sharon police Capt. Michael Menster.
The word “Bloods” was spray-painted recently on a house in the 700 block of Sharpsville Avenue, “Red Bandana” is on a fence on 4th Avenue and various graffiti is in some alleyways in the area of Frank Street, Menster said.
“It appears not to be indicative of gang activity,” he said. “It’s just neighborhood kids defacing property.”
Sharon police are trained to help them recognize potential gang threats. After an investigation, Menster said, it was found that the graffiti did not contain the markings of organized gangs.
