Farrell police

• Anthony Thomas Miller, 30, of 1807 Farrell Terrace, Farrell, at 11:05 a.m. Nov. 15 at home, was charged with endangering the welfare of children and reckless endangerment after police said he was involved in an altercation with two juvenile males, leaving both with visible injuries.

• Antoine Leon Robinson, 35, of 614 Stevenson St., Farrell, was charged during a traffic stop at 11:47 p.m. Nov. 13 at Fruit Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard with carrying a firearm without a license after police said he concealed a loaded handgun.

• Jade J. Samuels, 29, of 902 Market Ave., Farrell, was charged with burglary, trespassing, loitering and prowling at nighttime, criminal mischief and theft after police said he broke into a home through a kitchen window at 8:39 p.m. Nov. 12 in a house in the 1000 block of Emerson Avenue and stole a gaming console worth $100. The owner came home during the burglary, pointed a knife at Samuels and he ran away, police said. The victim identified Samuels from a photo lineup.

• Russell F. Husband Jr., 41, of 145 Keefer Drive, Mercer, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property at 10:41 a.m. Oct. 24 at a business on Roemer Boulevard after police said he took a TV and multiple tools worth more than $800, police said.

• Clevon Brian Atwood, 19, of 300 Orange Drive, Apartment 3, Hermitage, was charged with obstructing the administration of law, possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 10:11 a.m. Oct. 30 at Fruit Avenue and George Street. Police said he had a digital scale with white residue, $572, a clear plastic bag with almost 6 grams of a substance suspected to be crack cocaine and two cell phones.

• Timothy Edward Kolsky, 58, of 633 Stambaugh Ave., Farrell, was charged with involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, sexual assault, indecent assault, unlawful restraint and reckless endangerment at 11:44 p.m. Oct. 30 at Stambaugh Avenue and Roemer Boulevard. Police said where he forced himself on a woman and tried to rape her.

• Anthony Ladal Alexander, 29, of 300 Orange Drive, Apartment 5, Hermitage, was charged with stalking and loitering and prowling at nighttime at 1:22 a.m. Oct. 28 near Emerson Avenue and Bond Street. Police said he repeatedly went to a woman’s residence after being told to leave her alone, and stood outside the residence waiting for her to come out.

• Lance Dionte Jackson, 25, unknown address, was charged with assault and harassment for an incident at 10:33 a.m. Oct. 31 in the 800 block of Hamilton Avenue. Police said he punched a woman in the face and cut her lip.

Grove City police

• Sometime between 1 p.m. Nov. 5 and 8:40 a.m. Nov. 6, someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the 1600 block of George Junior Drive and took a wallet from the center console. Most of the wallet’s contents were located at the intersection of George Junior and Lee Lane, police said.

• Officers were dispatched to a car accident at 12:17 p.m. Oct. 31, at West Main and South Center streets. Police said Wendy Stevenson, 52, Grove City, was traveling east on West Main Street when her vehicle was hit by Sara Brown, 94, Grove City, who was traveling south on South Center Street. Stevenson was taken to a local hospital with neck pain. Police issued Brown a traffic citation.

• Thomas Turner, 47, of Karns City, at 2 p.m. Oct. 31, was charged with a giving a false report and unsworn falsification to law enforcement after police said he answered untruthfully on a weapons purchase application.

• A driver hit the electronic crosswalk sign mounted to a utility pole at Lincoln Avenue and North Broad Street sometime between 6 p.m. Nov. 18 and 6 a.m. Nov. 19, police said.

• A driver passed a school bus that was stopped to unoad students at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 21 on East Main and Summit streets, police said.

Hermitage police

• Larry Matthew Strausser II, 40, of 41 Hamburg Road, Transfer, was charged with false written statements and statements under penalty when police said he tried to purchase a firearm at 9:46 a.m. March 17 at Dunham’s Sports, 2267 E. State St., and lied on the background check paperwork, police said.Sharon

• Chrystal L. Russell, 35, of 582 12th St., Greenville, at 8:02 a.m. Nov. 1 in the 900 block of Cedar Ave., Sharon, police said.

• Elizabeth A. Mittal, 49, of 4 S. 12th St., Sharpsville, at 1:46 a.m. Oct. 26 at South Walnut and Main streets, police said.

• Jocelyn Annamarie Leak, 23, of 394 Cedar Ave., Apartment 1A, Sharon was charged with theft of lost property after police said she kept a wallet she found at 10:31 p.m. Nov. 1 at Walmart, 1275 N. Hermitage Road.

• Dashawnta A. Tarver, 37, of 360 Orange Drive, Apartment 10, Hermitage, was charged with giving false identification to law enforcement and public drunkenness after an encounter with police at 1:50 p.m. Oct. 30 at Circle K, 470 N. Buhl Farm Drive, police said.

• Robert S. Kapusta, 72, of 1142 Dutch Lane, Hermitage, and Catherine Joann Elizabeth Houston, of 211 Orchard St., Sharon, were both charged after a reported incident at 2 a.m. Oct. 30 at Kapusta’s residence, where police said she stole a large container of coins from him. Kapusta was charged with patronizing a prostitute and she was charged with prostitution after police said he told officers that he paid Houston $150 for sex four to five times a week for the past several months.

• Marc E. Becker, 34, of 7096 Sunnydell Drive, Brookfield, was charged with harassment at 6:51 a.m. Oct. 30 at 1510 Parke Drive after police said he called a woman an excessive number of times for no reason.

• Nikolas Anthony Pollock, 22, of 664 Service Ave., was charged with assault and disorderly conduct at 11:14 p.m. Nov. 16 at Ten Pin Alley, 3825 E. State St. Police said he punched and threw a drink on another tavern customer.

• Tonya D. Weary, 49, of 934 Wallis Ave., Farrell, was charged during a traffic stop at 7:57 a.m. Nov. 18 with false identification to law enforcement and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said they found two glass pipes used for crack cocaine.

• Joshua Luke Morris, 19, of 142 Bolde Drive, Apartment 2B, Hermitage, was charged after a traffic incident at 10:51 p.m. Nov. 17 at Delaware and Madison streets with carrying a loaded weapon, fleeing or attempting to elude officers, making repairs or selling offensive weapons and carrying a firearm without a license. Police said he left his vehicle and ran from police. Police said they found a loaded shotgun in his possession.

• Beth Ann Stadtfeld, 54, of 54 Baker Ave., Hermitage, was charged with theft after police said she stole a refrigerator after he was evicted from an apartment sometime before Nov. 6. She said she replaced a broken refrigerator, police said.

Sharon police

• Justin Robert Hile, 31, of 1438 Mercer-Grove City Road, Mercer, was charged with assault after a reported incident at 1:28 a.m. Nov. 15 in the 300 block of Quinby Street. Police said he punched a woman and left her with visible injuries.

• Ieasha Nahiaja Irby, 26, of 209 Mesabi St., was charged with assault, terroristic threats and strangulation after a reported incident at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at her home. Police said she attacked a woman, by choking and punching her in the face, and threatened to kill the woman and her daughter.

Police said she came back at 5:46 p.m. and threatened the woman and had a gun.

• Elaine Minnie Taylor, 43, of 250 Orchard St., Sharon, and Janilla Shawnte Hornbuckle, 36, of 500 Spruce Ave., were charged with corruption of minors after police said they encouraged minors to fight with each other at 4:16 p.m. Nov. 19 at Spruce Avenue and Leslie Street.

• Caleb Richard McKee, 23, of 497 McClure Ave., Sharon, was charged with assault and harassment after police said he pushed a man and punched him at least twice in the head at 2:37 a.m. Oct. 30 at home.

• Marcus Quintell Best, 31, of 906 Fruit Ave., Farrell, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to an argument at 10:03 a.m. Oct. 30 in the 300 block of Mesabi Street. Police said he had a clear plastic bag with a paper containing suspected heroin and a glass pipe, police said.

• Deniel Chayane Delgado, 23, of 810 Ravine Place, Sharon, was charged with carrying firearms without a license and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 4:19 a.m. Oct. 31 at George Street and Spearman Avenue. Police said they found a .40-caliber handgun under a passenger-side seat where he was seated and a burnt marijuana cigar by his feet on the floor.

• Jayson Jack Castle, 55, of 315 Liberty St., Sharon, was charged with possession of marijuana and public drunkenness after a reported incident at 10 p.m. Oct. 31 in the parking lot of Speedway, 220 E. Connelly Blvd. Police said he had a black container that contained 2.5 grams of a green leafy substance suspected to be marijuana.

Sharpsville police

• Kurtis Kieper, 21, of 339 Canterbury Court, Sharpsville, was charged with indecent assault of a person younger than 13 after a reported incident at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at his home. Police said grabbed the victim’s private parts without her consent.

• Tyler Storey, 24, of 104 N. Mercer Ave., Apartment B, Sharpsville, was charged with theft, receiving stolen property, forgery, simulating objects of antiquity, tampering with records and access device fraud after a reported incident on Sept. 17. Police said he stole and cashed a check belonging to the Area Community Theatre of Sharpsville for $1,000 at the Beauty Supply Plus in Farrell.

State police

• Clint Nagle, 35, Butler, was charged with drug possession after trying to smuggle Suboxone strips into the State Correctional Institution in Mercer at 10:43 a.m. Nov. 18, police said.

• Police investigated the assault of a 39-year-old Monongahela, Pa., male inmate at 10:44 a.m. Nov. 18 in the State Correctional Institution in Mercer by another inmate, a 37-year-old man from Frackville, Pa., police said.

• Police investigated a Childline report from Sept. 13 on Walnut Street, Sandy Lake Township, regarding drug paraphernalia on one of the school buses, police said. No drug paraphernalia was found on the bus or with a student, police said.

• Someone stole a Dell laptop computer and a brown wallet with miscellaneous cards in it with a total value of $150 from a vehicle at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 in the 3900 block of Sandy Lake Road, Mill Creek Township, police said.

• Several people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 2:27 p.m. Nov. 20 on Sandy Lake-Grove City Road at Kilgore Road, Worth Township.

Police said a pickup truck driven by Joseph L. Swartz, 73, of Grove City, was pulling out from a stop sign on Kilgore and drove into the path of a car driven by Amanda L. Irwin, 36, of Sandy Lake. Police said Swartz, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from his truck, and he was flown to St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown, for treatment of serious injuries. Swartz's passenger, Kelley M. Huling, 48, of Grove City, were treated at Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township – Irwin for minor injuries, and Huling for unknown injuries.

Police found marijuana in the possession of Swartz and Huling, and the accident remains under investigation, police said.

• A man was injured in an accident at 5:28 p.m. Nov. 5 on Mercer Road near St. Johns Road, Delaware Township. Police said Chance P. Kinser, 19, of Zelienople, was taken to a nearby hospital after he when he lost control of his car while traveling west on state Route 58, and went off the road, hit a utility pole and landed in a large ditch.

• Gregory Shearer, 49, Wichita, Kan., was charged with trespassing at 2:18 p.m. Nov. 8 at Walmart, 1566 W. Main St., Pine Township, after police said store employees found him living in the woods behind the store.

• A minor passenger was injured during an accident at 9:32 p.m. Nov. 7 on Barkeyville Road near Tieline Road. Police said the crash happened when an SUV driven by Zachary T. Peterman, 20, Fairview, Pa., was headed west on Barkeyville Road and swerved into oncoming traffic to avoid a deer in the road, police said. The SUV swerved back, left the road and rolled over three times. The driver and passenger were wearing safety belts, police said, and the passenger was taken to a local hospital.

Office of the State Attorney General

• Jameil Gregory Garbutt, 32, of 1207 Washington St., Farrell, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a search warrant was executed on his home at 6:18 a.m. Nov. 15. Police said they found a clear glass jar that contained marijuana, $1,245, a small amount of marijuana in a plastic bag, and two one-pound plastic bags used for packaging marijuana.



• Jason Douglas Mantooth, 44, of 44 Emerson Ave., Wheatland, at 10:35 p.m. Nov. 2 in the 200 block of Lunn Boulevard after driving off the road and hitting a boulder, which disabled his vehicle, police said.

• Sarah Ritscher, 26, Hadley, at 2:28 a.m. Sept. 14 on Greenville and Hyde Hill roads after police responded to a vehicle in a ditch, police said. Ritscher was found at her residence intoxicated, police said.


• Paige Nicole Novosel, 29, of 7975 Warren-Sharon Road, Apartment 10, Masury, at 1:17 a.m. Nov. 2 at East State Street and North Buhl Farm Drive, police said.

• Susan Vilasi, 51, of 45 Hermitage Hills Blvd., Hermitage, at 7:31 p.m. Nov. 12 in the 3600 block of East State Street, police said.

• Juliana Horodnic, 49, of 204 Clarksville St., Greenville, at 5:49 p.m. Oct. 22 at South Mercer Avenue and School Street, police said.
