GREENVILLE – Area senior citizens are invited to attend an informative Senior Coffee and Conversation seminar hosted by Better Business Bureau, Pennsylvania Link to Aging and Disability Resources, and the office of state Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Crawford/Erie/Lawrence/Mercer).
The event will be at the Greenville Senior Center, 45 Alan Ave., on May 29. It is free to attend and open to senior citizens age 55 and over.
“I encourage senior citizens in the area to attend so that they can learn more about issues they face, such as Social Security and scammers who target senior citizens,” Wentling said.
Attendees will receive information about Social Security from a Social Security Administration official and will also learn about elder financial abuse and fraud from Mercer County Assistant District Attorney Greg Reichart. Prizes, donated by local businesses, will also be awarded during scams-and-fraud bingo.
The event kicks off with light refreshments at 8:30 a.m.
Attendees must reserve a seat. To RSVP, call 724-588-3155.
