A 25-year-old Sharon woman was arrested on charges including attempted homicide, stemming from a shooting at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday at 1038 Hamilton Ave. in Farrell.

Southwest Mercer County Regional Police arrested Marquis Ann Lampkins of 359 E. Connelly Blvd. after witnesses said she was the woman who fired several gunshots at a woman and her daughter who were sitting on a porch.

Police said Ms. Lampkins was arraigned by District Judge James E. McMahon, Sharon, on charges of criminal attempt to commit homicide, four counts of aggravated assault and two counts of recklessly endangering another person.

She was released on her own recognizance.
