• Christopher Cordero, 19, of 331 George St., was arrested at 9:03 a.m. Tuesday at the office of District Judge James McMahon, Sharon on a warrant for criminal trespass, simple assault and harassment, police said.

On Sunday, Cordero entered the home of a 22-year-old woman he knew, in the 600 block of East State Street, without her permission, police said. He hit her repeatedly in the face, kicked and tried to choke her and left before they arrived, police said.

Cordero was in court facing previous charges when police identified him, they said.

• Leslie C. King, 27, of 344 S. Oakland Ave., Sharon, was arrested at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Morrison Street and South Oakland Avenue on charges of forgery and theft, police said.

On March 17, Ms. King talked a 71-year-old Sharon woman into going into a bank with her and co-signing a fraudulent check for $496, police said. Police were called when the teller realized it was fake.

• Rosita Ophelia Allen, 31, of 949 Coleman Ave., Sharpsville, was arrested at 3:10 p.m. at 740 E. State St., on a warrant for bad checks and theft, police said.

Ms. Allen wrote a check for $500 in August while renting an apartment, police said. The landlord evicted her in October for the worthless check and she stole a $450 wooden dresser, police said.

• Ivan L. Hill, 44, Youngstown, was charged at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday after attacking his wife, police said.

Police responded to the 200 block of Logan Avenue to a neighbor’s call of a woman screaming for help. Police said they found Hill’s wife with bruises and swelling on her face. She reported that Hill grabbed her hair, slammed her face into a wooden arm chair, ripped out a large chunk of her hair and punched her in the face, police said.

She tried to run away and Hill tackled her outside the house where she was able to scream for help, police said.

• A 20-year-old Greenville woman was charged with harassment and criminal trespass after showing up on the property of a 55-year-old Greenville man on Anderson Road between 1 and 1:45 p.m. on April 19, harassing him and refusing to leave, police said.
