WARREN, Ohio – A Sharon man who provides a transportation service is accused of attacking and sexually assaulting clients.

Corey D. Kopta, 44, of 636 Crowder Ave., was charged Thursday with assault and sexual imposition in Trumbull County.

Warren police said a man told officers that he was assaulted by the van driver who takes him to appointments. The driver was identified as Kopta.

The man said Kopta was drunk and speeding, and made him bump his head because the driver was operating the vehicle recklessly. Police said the man told them that Kopta pulled into the requested address and tried to drag the victim out of the van.

Another client being taken to a previous appointment said Kopta choked him while he was in the van.

Police said a third victim, a woman, said she was out with other clients when Kopta walked up behind her and grabbed her inappropriately. Another female client said Kopta tried to put his hands down her pants and made lewd comments to her.

When police attempted to interview Kopta, officers said he was clearly intoxicated when they interviewed him and could not even attempt field sobriety tests.

Kopta was arrested and taken to a nearby hospital for blood alcohol testing.
