SHARON – A man was stabbed and shot on Lafayette Avenue Monday evening and police are investigating the incident.
The victim, a 33-year-old Youngstown man, is in stable condition after being taken to a local trauma center.
Police were called at 8:08 p.m. Monday to the 500 block of Lafayette Avenue for a report of multiple gunshots, police Chief Edward H. Stabile said.
Officers found multiple shell casings and two vehicles that had been hit by gunshots.
The victim, who police have not named, was found in the 600 block of South Irvine Avenue with a stab wound to the torso, a gunshot wound to the torso and a gunshot wound to his left arm.
Stabile said this is an active investigation and no further details can be released at this time.
