DA awards township for officers’ work

Mercer County District Attorney Miles K. Karson Jr. presented Shenango Township with a $10,000 check through the work of police Officer Justin Barnes and canine officer Sven. Karson presented the check during a township supervisors meeting, when supervisors voted to put half of the money in the police department’s K-9 fund and use the other half to purchase equipment.
