FARRELL – State police arrested a man Saturday in connection with the Thursday night stabbing death of a Farrell woman.

Sabre Chambers, 27, was charged with criminal homicide, nine counts of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and nine counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and two counts of endangering the welfare of children.

He is accused in the stabbing death of Natasha Talley, 41, of 110 Wallis Ave., between 4 and 10:20 p.m., in her apartment, according to state police.

The Mercer County District Attorney's office said it filed the child endangerment charges because two children, younger than 5, were present at the time of Talley's death. The children were not harmed.

He was arraigned by video after 9 p.m. Saturday before District Judge Mary A. Odem of Farrell.

Farrell police were called around 10:30 p.m. Thursday to Talley's apartment. The district attorney's office and Farrell police requested that state police Troop D Major Crimes Unit take over the investigation.

An autopsy was conducted Friday in Erie. State police said Talley sustained multiple stab wounds.

Farrell and Sharon police assisted the state police investigation.
