SHENANGO TOWNSHIP – A woman died at a camper fire Thursday in Shenango Township.

Donna DiClaudio of Shenango Township was staying at the camper parked at 3341 Hubbard-West Middlesex Road in Shenango Townsip, according to Mercer County Coroner John Libonati, when a fire broke out at about 9:30 p.m. Multiple departments responded.

Firefighters pulled DiClaudio from the camper and emergency responders attempted to resuscitate her using CPR, Libonati said. Efforts were discontinued when she did not respond.

Mercer County Deputy Coroner Brenda Palmer declared DiClaudio dead at the scene at 9:54 p.m.

The cause of DiClaudio’s death is unknown pending further testing. Libonati noted that possible causes of death could include exposure or smoke inhalation. He declared the death accidental.

The cause of the fire was not known at press time.
