Can we really take four more years of this?

Should President Trump be impeached again? GOPers in Mercer County will likely say no. I would say yes, knowing that the U.S. Senate will not convict him and remove him from office.

Questions to ask ourselves:

1. Are we better off than we were four years ago?

2. Can we put up with 20,000 more lies?

3. Can we stand four more years of incompetent bumbling and bungling of domestic affairs and foreign policy?

4. Can we tolerate four more years of cronyism, nepotism, shady and crooked appointees to cabinet and other government  positions? In October, if I hear the cry “Four More Years,” and that comes true on Election Day, I may have to say “goodbye, USA, and hello, Canada or Croatia.”

The pathetic response to the coronavirus, costing perhaps 200,000 American lives, should be enough to vote Trump out of office.

The old adage applies: “Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice, shame on us.”

God might ask, ‘Why should I bless America?’

We always hear the supplication, “God bless America!” If I was God, I would ask “Why should I?” Think in the character of George Burns in the movie “Oh, God!”

Would it be for all the blood you have spilled fighting wars? Would it be for all the kindness you have shown your fellow man? Would it be for all the honest and straightforward dealings we have with each other doing daily business? Would it be for helping a person that is down and out instead of stepping on them? Would it be for feeding the hungry and clothing the poor? Would it be for not judging someone until all facts are known?

Would it be for treating all people, regardless of race, color, or creed, as equal? Would it be because of the divorce rate? Would it be for all the children born out of wedlock? Would it be for treatment of elderly, infirm, mentally incapacitated, and children? And one that hurts me the most – would it be for the taking of millions of unborn lives?

Give me one good reason, and I might bless you more than I already have – God.
