ROAR Center helps in battle against addiction

Diane Miller-Zec

I had the honor of going to the ROAR Center Flurries N Fun 2nd Annual Recovery Gala at The Corinthian in downtown Sharon. What a wonderful fundraiser for a great cause. We had the pleasure of sitting with a young gentleman who the ROAR Center helped. He shared his story with us, from his lowest times to his struggles of getting clean, and said he never wanted to be that person again. The ROAR Center helped him with that.

I knew very little about the ROAR Center before this night, but my eye’s were opened to what a good organization ROAR is and the good work they do for the community. Also, I saw how great our community is, joining in to help the ROAR Center with all the beautiful gift baskets and donations. There was an overwhelming show of community business owners who offered their support for this worthwhile cause.

Everyone needs to get involved with this problem because addiction does not care what part of town you are from. It can destroy all walks of life. So, if you can, please try to support the ROAR Center.

Thank you for an eye-opening and fun-filled night with the band Juvenile Characteristics.
