Thank you for help with Super Kids efforts

Pam Dorfi

Hermitage

Wow, what a day. On May 4 the Greater Pennsylvania Super Kids committee held their once-a-year adult race, and it was a huge success. Thank you to this year’s car sponsors and to the 24 teams that came out and raced down Derby Hill.

In order to make over $4,000 for this year’s race, it takes the work from all of those who helped. The fun of doing it with such great people is half the battle. The rest is from the generosity of donations of money to make that happen. Thank you all, for giving to the special needs kids for this year’s race that is coming up on June 29. It will start out with a parade for the kids, which will be at 10 a.m., then on to the race right after that is completed.

Again the Pittsburgh Pirates Parrot will be with us from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., through the help of some special people supporting that, along with a concession stand with food for all.

But most of all, the kids going down the hill is what it’s all about. So come and join in the fun Saturday June 29 on Pierce Avenue between 7th and 10th streets in the Borough of Sharpsville.

And thank you all for giving of your time and money for such a great thing.

Thanks for supporting poppy sale

Unit 432 of the Wheatland American Legion Auxiliary would like to thank the community for its support in contributing to our poppy sale this year.

As always, the generosity of the people of the community in supporting our veterans and our community through the poppy sale was extraordinary.

Once again, we appreciate your willingness to consistently support this very worthwhile cause.
