Paul L. “Bud” Wiseman, a resident of 631 Barkeyville Road, Pine Township, since 1970, died at 8:15 p.m. Friday (3-31-06) in his residence after a 3-year illness. He was 82.

Mr. Wiseman was born May 27, 1923, in Grove City to William Sherman and Lettie McWilliams Smith Wiseman.

He married the former Barbara Joyce Shipton April 13, 1957.

He was retired from the borough of Grove City, where he was a laborer in the street department. He was previously employed by McKnight Brothers Moving and Storage.

He belonged to the First Baptist Church, Grove City.

He was formerly active with Grove City Little League and was a coach and manager for the Grove City Lions Club ball team. He was also a women’s softball umpire.

Mr. Wiseman was active in the church’s Awana Club and was a former usher.

An avid sportsman, he enjoyed Pittsburgh sports teams.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara at home; two children, Ronald Keith Wiseman and his wife Denise; and Susan Lynn Daly and her husband Russell Eugene Daly, all of Grove City; two sisters, Ruth Calhoun and her husband Frank; and Marlene Dominique and her husband George, all of Des Moines, Iowa; three sisters-in-law, Anna Wiseman, Fairfield, Iowa; Patricia Kerr and her husband Edward, Leesburg, Fla.; and Mary Maxwell and her husband Tom, Grove City; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Shipton and his wife Mary, Grove City; and Carl Shipton and his wife Margaret, Mercer; and a granddaughter, Marguerite Daly.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; a son, William T. “Bill” Wiseman, who died in 1990; a sister, Vivian Bloomquist; a brother, Robert Wiseman; and a nephew, Robert Eli Wiseman.

Service: A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday (4-4-06) in the funeral home with the Rev. David L. Johnson, pastor of First Baptist Church, Grove City, officiating.

Interment: Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
