ORLANDO, Fla. — Robert C. Johnson II of Orlando, Fla., previously of the Hermitage and West Middlesex areas, passed away time unknown on Friday, March 10, 2006, in Orlando from complications associated with diabetes. He was 58.

Mr. Johnson, “Bob,” was born Aug. 20, 1948, in Sharon, a son of the late Robert and Grace Johnson, also formerly of West Middlesex.

He was a 1966 alumnus of West Middlesex High School.

He was an avid guitar player and a bass guitarist for The Upsets and The Knight’s III, both very popular bands in the area during the 1960s and ’70s.  

Prior to moving to Orlando, Mr. Johnson was employed by Sharon Tube Co.

He is survived by: three children, Robert C. Johnson III and his wife Leslie, Winter Springs, Fla.; Karen S. Johnston and her husband Gregory, Boston; and Jolene M. Maynard and her husband Steven, Reno, Nev. He also leaves behind five granddaughters, Kelsey Rae Johnson, Winter Springs; Brittany Amber, Jessica Marie, and Alyssa Renee Johnston, all Boston; and Grace Elizabeth Maynard, Reno.

The immediate family plans to have a private memorial service.
