A funeral service will be held Saturday for Ruth Ella Blair, 26 McChesney Way, Pine Township. She died at 3:25 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2006, in Orchard Manor, Pine Township, after an illness of five months. She was 80.

Mrs. Blair was born on March 12, 1926, in Wheatland to Raymond Daniel and Ruth Caroline Williams Woods.

She was a graduate of Farrell High School Class of 1944 and retired as a secretary at Grove City College.

A homemaker, Mrs. Blair was a member of Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Grove City. She also belonged to AARP, a retired person’s organization and the Kitchen Band group.

Her husband, Howard Phillip Blair, whom she married Feb. 17, 1950, passed away March 1, 2000.

Surviving are: a daughter, Susan Adams and her husband David B., Grove City; two sons, David L. Blair and his wife Kim, Harrisville; and Phillip L. Blair and his wife Rhonda, Grove City; two sisters, Radine Dills and her husband Ralph, Dallas, Texas; and Roberta Coryea and her husband Donald, Sharpsville; a brother, Raymond Daniel Woods and his wife Theresa, West Middlesex; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Blair was preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, Robert L. Blair, who passed away in 1996; and an infant, Terry Linn Blair.

Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Township.
