Funeral service will be Monday (6-26-06) for Sophia Namisnyk John XXIII Home, and formerly of Marshall Street, both Hermitage. She passed away peacefully at 3:50 p.m. Friday (6-23-06) in the nursing home of natural causes. She was 81.

Mrs. Namisnyk She was born Wednesday, Dec. 3, 1924, in Poland.

She was a homemaker and especially enjoyed time spent gardening and baking for family and friends.

Mrs. Namisnyk attended First Assembly of God in Hermitage.

Her husband, Dmytro Namisnyk, whom she married June 7, 1950, passed away March 9, 2001.

Surviving are: three daughters, Nancy Buchanan, and her husband, David; Debra E. Hamilton and her husband, David, both Hermitage; and Betty L. Gealy and her husband, Larry, of Transfer; a son Roman Namisnyk and his wife, Dollie, of Sharon; a sister Emi Felber of Munich, Germany; six grandchildren, Megan, Nicole and Natalie Namisnyk of Sharon, David M Buchanan of Hermitage; and Amy and Michelle Gealy of Transfer.
