11-year-olds

ä West Middlesex 31, Commodore Perry 0 (4 innings) — At West Middlesex, the hosts jumped out to a 6-0 first inning lead and tacked on 15 and 10 runs in the second and third innings, respectively.

Dom Pate went the distance, allowing 2 hits and striking out 4.

Dillon Fair led the Middlesex offense with 2 doubles and 2 singles. Jarrad Palmer singled and doubled. Pate also doubled

Colby Boozer and Phillip Estringert posted CP’s lone hits off Pate.

ä Sharon 9, Greenville 5 — At Greenville, Sharon scored 7 times in the fourth inning to advance in the District II tournament.

Justin Stefanowicz, Leo Rahn and Cody Augustine split 6 singles for Sharon, while Sam Evans, Michael Songer and Rob Rice split mound duties.

For Greenville, Braden Gladysz homered and singled, while Zack Anderson and Seth Burchill doubled.

ä Hermitage 15, Lakeview 4 — At Hermitage, the hosts broke open a 3-3 second inning tie with 12 runs in the third and fourth innings.

Hermitage posted 7 runs in the third and 5 in the fourth.

Devine Campbell’s 2 singles and 2 doubles sparked the Hermitage offense, while Michael Nardone homered and singled. Kevin Pugilies also bagged a roundtripper.

Vinnie Masterian ripped three singles in support of Brooks Pletcher, who scattered 6 hits and 4 walks.

For Lakeview, Austin Slater doubled and Derek Giovengo ripped 2 singles. Curtis Mosley, Shane Whitehouse and Casey Greggs split 3 singlets.

Major Division (11-12)

ä Grove City 3, West Middlesex 0 — At West Middlesex, Grove City set up a rematch with Greenville in the District II Major Division Finals with the shutout.

Greenville advanced to the Section II tournament in 2005 thanks to a seventh inning grand slam.

Against West Middlesex, Tyler Devine permitted just 3 hits and struck out 11 in 6 innings to pick up the victory.

Grove City scored single runs in the first, second and third innings. Torin Smith and Gavin Herald had GC’s lone hits off Kris Mason, who struck out 4 and walked 7 in 5 innings.

Bryce Newton had two singles and Drew Smith had West Middlesex’ other hit.

Junior Division (13-14)

ä West Middlesex 10, Sharon 5 — At West Middlesex, Kyle Allen pitched and hit West Middlesex to the victory.

On the mound, Allen scattered 5 hits, walked 3 and struck out 5, while ripping 2 doubles and 2 singles.

Also for West Middlesex, Jon Jansco and Kyle Wimer each had 2 singles. Gino Colella belted a double.

For Sharon, Cameron Brown doubled and Kaasam Ismail connected on 2 singles, while Sam Schweiss and Tyler Zoccoli took turns on the mound.

ä Grove City 12, Sharpsville 0 (5 innings) — At Grove City, the hosts jumped out to a 6-0 first quarter lead and tacked on 3, 1 and 2 runs in the second, third and fourth innings, respectively.

Jason Revesz went the distance for GC, fanning 7 and permitting 2 hits and walking 1.

Steven Shaffer led the Grove City offense with a single and a double, while Pat Johnson and Jeffrey Revesz each recorded 2 singles. Brady Beech also doubled.

Ben Davis and Jon Wilson shared mound duties for Sharpsville.

Senior Division (15-16)

ä Sharon 7, Grove City 0 — At Buhl Farm Park, Cory Johnson fanned 13 batters, permitted 2 hits and blasted a 2-run first inning home run for the victors.

Sharon posted 5 runs in the fourth inning.

Greg Rearick and Dustin Norcross tripled, while Zach Kepple ripped two singles.

Arie Uber had Grove City’s 2 singles. Justin Haugh pitched for GC, scattering six hits.
