SHARON – Head Coach Niki Nych recently announced the commitment of Greenville High’s Carly Fattman to the Penn State Shenango volleyball team.
Fattman helped lead the Trojans’ volleyball team to its first region championship with an undefeated season. She led the team in kills and blocks and was a first team all-region selection.
In addition to volleyball, Fattman participated in track and field where she competed in the discus and shot put. She was Mercer County champion in discus and District 10 champion in shot put.
She qualified for the PIAA Championships in discus for two years and in shot put all four years of her high school career.
“I began recruiting Carly her senior year,” said Nych. “She was in my eyes from the beginning. She’s a great offensive player, strong attacker and a big blocker. She has a winning attitude. She is a great asset.”
Carly is the daughter of Carl Fattman and Tina Cascio, both of Greenville. She has an older sister, Madison, and older brother, Tyler.
She plans to attend Penn State Shenango to major in certified occupational therapy.
