Hermitage 9-10 All-Stars won the Pennsylvania Little League Section 2 championship Saturday with a forfeit victory over North Allegheny. Hermitage 9-10 All-Stars won the Pennsylvania Little League Section 2 championship Saturday with a forfeit victory over North Allegheny after a 4-4 tie in the first inning.

According to reports, because of an ejection and rule violation the team had no coaches left. While waiting for clarification as to a disqualification – which later came – NA forfeited the game.

NA jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first, but Hermitage roared back when Sean Cummings walked, Roman Golub bunted safely and Taco Verroco blasted a 250-foot homer. Andrew Miller walked and later scored on a Dante Evans single to tie the game.

Hermitage advances to the state tourney, which will begin Wednesday in Wellsboro.

Team members are  Dante Evans, Kyle Walton, Ty Turosky, Landon Slevin, Bryson Applegarth, Mason Tonty, Logan McKinney, Sean Cummings, Roman Golub, Jack White, Taco Verroco, Andrew Miller and Jacob Stainbrook.
