Hermitage 9-10 all-stars opened up state tournament play with a 13-10 victory over Clarion.

Hermitage, down 3-0 erupted in the 2nd inning, scoring 7 runs to take a 7-3 lead. 

In the 3rd, Dante Evans got the hitting attack going with a single up the middle followed by a double by Jack White and singles from Logan McKinney and Bryson Applegarth to tie the game at 3. 

Taco Verrocco would then hit a 3 Run homer over the left field fence as Hermitage took a 7-3 lead, before extending its edge to 11-3. 

Evans went 4-for-4, including 2 doubles and 5 RBIs; Verroco, with 3 RBI, also singled in addition to his homer, Jack White singled and doubled, and Kyle Walton tripled. Sean Cummings, Roman Golub, Andrew Miller, Logan McKinney, Jacob Stainbrook, Bryson Applegarth, and Ty Turosky all singled for Hermitage, which will now play at 4 p.m. this afternoon.
