Hickory and Kennedy Catholic girls have their eyes on the ball during soccer action Wednesday afternoon at KC's Butala Stadium. Hickory won 8-0 as Allison Richards (16) scored a school-record 6 goals.

Hickory High soccer midfielder Allison Richards scored a school-record 6 goals in her team’s 8-0 blanking of Kennedy Catholic Wednesday afternoon at KC’s Butala Stadium.

Richards also now holds the all-time career goals mark of 91, surpassing Morgan Hodgkins.

Against KC, Allyssa McClure notched a pair of goals and added an assist. Michelle Degerolamo tallied 4 assists, while Hannah Davis added one. Morgan McBride had 5 saves while pitching the shutout in goal. KC keeper Sarah Ritchey stopped 15 shots.
