Hickory 3, Greenville 1 –– At The Hive in Hermitage, the host Hornets harvested a 23-25, 25-7, 25-23, 25-14 win, led by Aniyah Anderson’s triple-double and double-doubles by Bella Stefanak, Kayla Richards and Reanna Daniels. Alycia Ruiz registered a triple-double and Lauren DiBucci a double-double for visiting Greenville.

Lakeview 3, Franklin 0 ––At Stoneboro on “Dig for a Cure Night” as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Lady Sailors secured a 26-24, 25-21, 25-21 sweep.

Lady Sailors’ skipper Lisa Herrick noted the team raised $2,800 this year ($18,000 all-time) in the benevolent fund, which is donated to the Yolanda G.Barca Oncology Institute at Meadville Medical Center.

Wilmington 3, Karns City 2 –– At Karns City, the Lady Greyhounds rallied from a 2-0 deficit to post a 13-25, 16-25, 25-22, 25-19, 15-14 non-region road win. Wilmington (8-6) was led by double-doubles from Alex Anderson, Madison Wigley and Keegan McConahy.

Wilmington: Anderson 11 kills, 13 digs; Mad. Wigley 15 assists, 14 digs; McConahy 12 kills, 17 digs; Rachel Lego 9 assists, 11 digs; Gabi Lego 10 kills; Mackenzie Wigley 19 digs; Tagus Kelliher 9 digs.

GIRLS SOCCER

• Grove City 3, Sharon 2 (OT) –– At Tiger Stadium, Mainley Panazzi produced the game-winner, approximately 9 minutes into OT. Also garnering Grove City goals were Haley Mattson and Emily Larrick.

Sharon’s Peyton Weigle tallied twice, assisted by Julia Day and Mira Hardman, respectively. Goalkeeper Katie Krecek made 11 saves for Sharon (9-7).

Wilmington 9, Sharpsville 0 –– At Greyhounds Stadium on “Senior Night,” Lindsey Martineau mustered a hat trick, Anna Williams and Ashley Wignall tallied twice each, and Alexis Lambert and Emma Hill garnered goals for the Greyhounds (5-0 region, 11-3 overall). Assists were credited to Reese Walker (3), Martineau (2), and Hill, Camryn Kollar and Williams (1 each). Greyhounds’ goalkeeper Taylor Kendall pitched the shutout.

Sharpsville fell to 0-11 (0-6 in region).
