Kennedy Catholic High boys’ golf team captured the recent Ironwood Classic team title.

At Beaver Lakes Country Club, the Golden Eagles eased to a team total of 393 to easily outdistance runner-up Shenango (408) and the remainder of the 12-team field.

Keying Kennedy were medalist Mike Klaric, 70; David Hutchinson, 78; Patrick Mastrian, 78; Dom Lombardi, 82; Matt Bober, 84, and Matt Rossi, 85.

ä Grove City 148, West Middlesex 166 — At Grove City Country Club on Tuesday, Cameron Peterson and Derek Forese fired 36s as the Eagles notched a victory over the Big Reds.

Ryan Miller (36) and Ronnie Gaines (40) led West Middlesex.

ä West Middlesex 157, Sharpsville 181 — At Oak Tree Country Club recently, winning West Middlesex was led by medalist Michael Bryan’s round of 33, while teammate Ron Gaines garnered a 39.

“He played with a 5-wood of the tee. He was hot!” West Middlesex mentor Fred Livingston said of Bryan.
