Sharpsville’s Ethan Matthews boots the ball as Commodore Perry’s Cameron Waid closes in during Tuesday’s match at the McCullough Run Sports Complex in South Py Twp. Matthews scored four goals in the Blue Devils’ 10-0 win.

• Sharpsville 10, Commodore Perry 0 – At the McCullough Run Sports Complex in South Pymatuning Twp., Ethan Matthews fired in 4 goals to lead the Blue Devils past the Panthers.

Gideon Jones added 2 goals for Coach Paul Graban’s Sharpsville squad. Also scoring was Drake Carte, Jackson Mandillo and Elijah Hurl. Fisher Kratko posted the shutout in goal.

• Grove City 15, Wilmington 50 – At Grove City, Coach Mike Sample’s Eagles continued their dual-meet undefeated streak, which is now in year 12 with over 70 straight wins, with a win over the Hounds.

Grove City’s Gabe Nichols clocked in at 17:40 to take 1st place. Wilmington’s Tagg Walker placed 10th.

• Greenville 15, Sharon 50 – At Buhl Park, Hayden Robertson took 1st place for the Trojans with a time of 9:52 (ran legal course plus 100 meters). Kyle Wareham placed 6th for the Tigers.

• Hickory 16, Sharpsville 47 – On Delahunty Middle School’s campus, the host Hornets were led by the 1-2-3-4 sweep of Cole Frazier (18:32), Matthew Jordan (18:34.4), Tommy Hunyadi (18:50), and Ben Swanson (19:22). Kellen DeJulia (19:34) finished 5th for Sharpsville.

• Wilmington 25, Grove City 34 – At Grove City, Wilmington standout Grace Mason clocked in at 20:38 to finish 1st. Karissa Dunkerly placed 2nd for the Lady Eagles.

• Greenville 27, Sharon 28 – At Buhl Park, Sharon senior star Gianna Labbiento clocked in at 10:05 to place 1st while Greenville’s Macy Blatt finished 2nd in 10:33.

• Sharpsville 27, Hickory 29 – On Delahunty Middle School’s campus, Sharpsville’ s Lauren Mehler mustered the win in a time of 20:10, outdistancing Hickory’s Ashleigh Stephenson (20:57).

Hickory Coach Patti Rodenbaugh said the Hornets celebrated Senior Night, citing Frazier, Jordan, Arick Samoros, Logan Phillps, Gianna Brown and Stephenson. Rodenbaugh noted the program “also honored Danielle Nelson as part of this group of seniors, and her mom was able to be there, as well.”

• Sharon 4, Kennedy Catholic 1 – At Buhl Farm Park, the Tigers improved to 2-3 on the season on singles successes from Emily Lipke and Emma Barborak and the doubles duos of Ella Connelly-Miranda Metro and Megan Messina-Katie Lapikas.

The Lady Golden Eagles’ Lydia Grove garnered a No. 1 singles win to key Kennedy Catholic.

At Hickory VFW Course, Slippery Rock’s Jacob Wolak was medalist with a round of 73. Hickory’s Cam Colbert and Grove City’s Sam Norris shared 2nd place, each shooting 75, a scant stroke better than Grove City’s Toby Matson.

However, Grove City (332) outdistanced the field, including Hickory (333), Slippery Rock (341), Sharpsville (368), West Middlesex (373) and Wilmington (389).

Grove City (33) leads the season standings over Hickory (32), Slippery Rock (25), West Middlesex (19), Sharpsville (15) and Wilmington (11).
