Hickory High senior Sara Suler was selected Second-Team all-state for the second straight season by the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Assn., Coach B.J. Rudge reported

Suler scored 108 goals (2nd in school annals) and s school standard 77 assists during her 4-year career.

She helped Hickory hoist 4 consecutive region titles, the 2013 District 10 championship, and a district runner-up berth this past season. The Lady Hornets also advanced to the PIAA playoffs the past two seasons.

Suler, who captained this season’s Lady Hornets, will continue her education and soccer career at St. Francis University, Rudge reported.

Suler scored 31 goals this season as Hickory harvested a second straight berth in the District 10 title tilt. 

She became the fourth Mercer County-area female to surpass the century mark for career goals, joining Wilmington’s Kyler Lum, Mercer’s Claire Creasy and Hickory’s Katie Richards. 

The Lady Hornets blanked Fort LeBoeuf (10-0) and Mercyhurst Prep (2-0) in the tourney, before bowing to Villa Maria Academy in a 4-3 shootout in the title tilt.
